For me, it hit all the right spots - straight to St. Pauls, no messing around, eventually to Finsbury Square (not sure if the people at the front knew the way there), Kings X for the ghost bike to Min Joo Lee... Euston Road just a mass of bikes - I wonder if the air-pollution monitors showed a small negative spike - and a party for the tourists at Oxford Circus...

I was worried as we headed up the Mall that the Trafalgar Square message hadn't got to the people in front, but it was good to see it turn onto Horseguards. Across the river and a big mob outside the (unfortunately empty) TfL office... Blackfriars Bridge, then back to St.Pauls. I headed home (east) from there at about 10pm, but the Mass set off again and I don't know where it ended up - it would be great to think it's still going somewhere, crashing more drive-in McD's for temporary sustenance, with C Lo Green pumping out of the fading batteries of a defiant sound system.

Great combination of party and protest in all the current hotspots - for me, the longboarders add a lot to the whole event. We were spoilt for choice with great sound systems, and these really get the pedestrians interested and asking what's going on. I know the drivers hate it, but you get a real sense from pedestrians, especially tourists, that something important is passing by.

As an emergent, leaderless phenomenon, it feels like being at a party of well-intentioned wasps.

Thanks

Mark
