A lot smaller than usual, no doubt due to the holiday season & the inclement weather, however the sound systems added to a great atmosphere and the ride covered a lot of ground, it took up the road well and visited many areas. It left Waterloo and headed to Westminster bridge, not going over Waterloo bridge this time. Around Parliament sq and the peace camp & the security workers encampment inside fencing. Up Whitehall, where an idiot in a UPS van was driving fast and dangerous into the crowd. There was a great show of solidarity bewteen the cyclists. He was left in the traffic at Trafalgar Sq. The ride made it`s way along the Strand, up Kingsway where there was an arguement with a motorcyclist, once again a great show of unity by the cyclists. Down Theobalds Rd and up Greys Inn Rd. Once around Kings X,where BT police lined up.Bemused and confused. Along Euston Rd, again some idiot taxi drivers, left down to Great Russell St, Russell Sq, Along New Oxford St & Oxford St, where the sound systems livened up tired weary commuters waiting at bus stops and waking up consumers from thier sleep. A brief stop at Oxford Circus, a police car put on his blues and twos then turned them off when he was ignored by the mass. Illegal practice! Down Park Lane, pass Buck House, down The Mall, left into Pall Mall, right onto Piccadilly left onto shaftesbury ave up Charing X rd, up Tottenham Court Rd, then up north to Camden for a change. Thanks to the long boarders for excellent corking. A pleasant ride well received by the majority of the public. Just slight hassles from irate motorists and the usual reactionaries. All in all though much less hassle in my opinion from a few years back when plod came along. Since thier court defeat they just leave us alone! Look forward to next month. Although with cycling at an all time high in London, everyday is a critical mass!! Happy and safe cycling!

We managed to escape being rained by some miracle!

Smaller turnout than expected, due to the threat of rain.

Still I would say about 150 people.

Loads of sound systems!! About 5 or 6 I think.

Ride went really well. Very little agro. Impatient police car along Oxford Street.

Loads of longboarders. Lots were filming, so hope to see some good footage.

Big up the guy in the suit jacket and gloves, who ran along with us for an incredibly long time. I gave him a well deserved beer.

I left at Camden Town tube, so from there I guess it went back towards King Cross.

Very different to last month. More like a winter ride than the summer.

After the Jabba the-Hut', lumbering mass of July, it was a surprise to have a tightly knit and manageable mass. 150-200? Plus longboarders.

What we saying it was? Holiday time? The rain? The rain had stopped. We remained dryish, though thunder heads loomed. Not heading into rain dictated some of the route.

The July ride had next to no sounds systems. This one had dubstep, reggae, pop, folk and more. Which led to some discordant sound, though in a few cases sweet symphony. Appreciate.

This ride had awesome social capital as well. The corking was next level. No-one was abandoned to hold back the fuming mass, in every case 3, 4 or more would control the junctions. Sociable and Easy.

I think that's why the aggro was so low. Also, being small is easier, quicker. More dynamic.

This month was quite 'No Reason'. No agenda. Lots of looping about. The longboarders were more integrated. They did lots of corking. So, they would go from front to back to front again. Which was good.

Some unusual choices. The mass declined to do loops in front of Buckingham Palace, passing on by.

We then went left on the Mall to go back through Picadilly. So we got stuck in the traffic jam for five minutes. It was cool though. Relaxed.

Couple of short bike-raises. At the above and Oxford Circus. Brief.

The runs down Park Lane and Oxford Street were clear and well managed. Which was impressive and unusual.

I left on the Hampstead Road on the way to Camden. Making a dash at the front. We're thinking Camden was the end of the Road?
