London Critical Mass November 2008 reports.
"I got the original Pedals back on the road just in time and took it out with the tandem and an accomplice. The microphone was not working but other than that it was on form - at least until we blew the tweeters playing Chuck Berry's "My Ding-a-Ling" and at about the same time realised we were running the trailer with a flat tyre. We lost the rest of the Mass when we pulled over to fix the puncture. I believe we somehow forgot to turn off the music when we headed down Whitehall and there were no helpful police officers around to point out our faux-pas. While riding round Parliament Square a taxi ran into the trailer causing quite a jolt but we just kept riding and there was no apparent damage."

"I saw the Taxi jolt the wheel of your sound system, incidentally the driver got out to inspect his Taxi after bumping you whilst muttering some expletives involving his dislike of cyclists he obviously considers it other road users fault when he runs into them. I thought it was a very good mass everyone seems to have got settled with the absence of the police now and got down to some really good corking and we didn't have the ridiculous situation of the police holding the mass at a junction whenever they felt like it, it is feeling a lot more mobile and fluid."
